UNITY Dance Project Mission:
vTo create a voice for Modern and Contemporary Dance within the City of Turlock.
vTo bring the City of Turlock dance community and surrounding communities together in a non-competitive environment to share and to celebrate the art of dance.
vTo create a dance event in the City of Turlock which will engage local community members to support and participate in the art of dance.
UNITY Dance Project IS:
vUNITY Dance Project is an integrated, community based platform requiring 100% commitment at all levels from each participant.
vUNITY Dance Project is a shared program featuring emerging professional companies, college programs, high school programs, and community-based programs each performing one original work with no more than 10 dancers.
vUNITY Dance Project is a format for choreographers and dancers at various levels of expertise and experience to perform and dance in a supportive, non-competitive environment.
vUNITY Dance Project is a place for all participants to share the creative and performance experience that will encourage development of a community-based dance network.
vUNITY Dance Project is a low-tech performance.
